What Does K5 Learning Entail?
Basically, the K5 Learning curriculum involves animated, interactive, and easy to deal with lessons for the kids. The lessons are so easy even for those 4-year-olds such that they can learn and handle them on their own.
This system will automatically choose lessons for the kids that are based on their assessment and past lessons. More importantly, the kid’s progress is tracked, and a report is given to the parents for analyses at the end of a certain learning period.
K5 Learning System Modules
It has 4 main modules;
- K5 reading and K5 Math; which is curricula based lessons.

- And K5 spelling, which is an advanced spelling and vocabulary tutor.
Main Characteristics of K5 Learning
Has distinct attributes from any other learning system that you may have come across in the past because it has features such as;
- A clear focus and emphasis on curricula based education, and not games or entertainment.
- Online assessment and tracking which is essential for ideal placement of kids at appropriate skill levels.
- Gives the kids the chance to work independently and at their own pace as they proceed through the lessons.
- It minimizes the time requirements for parents through its simple interfaces, automatic lessons selection, and reporting.
Although, K5 can be used for in combination with a homeschooling system; it is not intended to be any kid’s full curriculum.

The Best Way To Handle This System
1. Introduce Them To Math And Reading First
First, if they are too young to handle spelling, just start with Math and reading. Most kids tend to do so well with the Math part. Let them do the Math on their own at their own pace while you get yourself busy with other activities.
You will find that the kid will want to be involved with their K5 learning all day long in the morning and the afternoon too at times. Allow them to enjoy learning.
Second, just observe them get through the learning process and help them out only when there is the need to. In a short time, you won’t be able to believe what they can do on their own. For instance, you may find out that once you give them numbers to arrange in the correct order, they can do it so easily.

2. Start With The Simple Math Quizzes
Give them numbers to arrange as they learn Math, for example, you can give them 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. You will be amazed by how they can solve this quiz easily without stuttering. Other Math symbols become easy to use when introduced to them, such symbols include the less than and greater than symbols (< and >).
Kids may have some problems with that at the beginning but once they learn they catch up on that pretty quickly. Phrases like, ‘three plus three is six’, will be a common song in the house.
3. Use The Worksheets
For each lesson there is a worksheet that goes with each lesson, use them instead of an account and you will track their performance. Many kids perform best when they learn through the use of these worksheets.

My Two-cents On K5 Learning
I don’t like the part where this system doesn’t allow you to choose the lessons you want your kid to learn. If you think the system is a good one for your kid, then try it at first because they have a 14-day free trial. One advantage of the system is that they allow up to 4 kids per account perfect way to save.
